Molecular weight
- Two size exclusion chromatography (Agilent 1200 series) equipped with both differential refractive index and UV detectors and an automatic sampler working in different solvents
- Size exclusion chromatography (Agilent 1100 series) equipped with a differential refractive index detector and an automatic sampler for determination of molecular weight parameters of water soluble polymers
- Size exclusion chromatography equipped with a PL LC 1120 injection pump, differential refractive index (ERMA 7517) and RALS/Visc (model T60B) integrated for triple detection measurements using the TriSec Win-03 software.

Fine syntheses
under high/low pressure:
- Three autoclave reactors for high/low pressure polycondensation under inert atmosphere from Autoclave France (50-250ml)
- Two Agila PE20 hydraulic presses (high and low temperatures)
- Brabender single screw extruder (19 mm, 25D) which can be equipped with a ribbon die (50 x 0.5 mm) or a double-string die. A calendering machine UNIVEX and a conveyor belt can be connected to the extruder
at controlled temperature:
- Polyscience Cryostat (- 40 à + 100°C)
- Binder, Memmert, Heraeus thermostated (programmable), vacuum and ventilated ovens
- Heating baths and Julabo TD6 and Thermal H circulators (T<250°C)

- High resolution thermogravimetric analyser (TA instrument Hi-Res TGA 2950) simultaneously coupled to a Fourier Transform Infra-Red Biorad Excalibur spectrometer: TGA-FTIR
- Two standard thermogravimetric analysers from TA Instrument (TGA Q500 and Q50)
- Temperature modulated Differential Scanning Calorimeter from TA Instrument (DSC Q2000) equipped with an autosampler (-160 to + 750°C)
